Some people know me from going bridal, or sewgeeky/going crafty, my other websites. Sorry if this is all a rehash; I can only re-define myself so many times!
Me: 38, living in the San Francisco Bay Area, Silicon Valley Division. Married to the fabulous Dennis, writer and dad to our boy, the amazing Isaac. Catstaff to Gracie and Beatitudes (aka The Bea).
We all live in a somewhat ramshackle house that is littered with Isaac's trucks, Dennis' piles of CDs to review, and the leavings of whatever projects I'm in the middle of.
I'm happy. I'm feeling quite good about the future.
I was a church secretary for five years, up until March 2007, when I returned to being a web drone in order to bring home the proverbial bacon. Mmmmmm....bacon.
I liked my job at St. Ned's, and it was certainly a valuable experience. But life changes, people change, places change, and it was time to go.
I've put all the vocational stuff on the far back burner (aka Call Waiting) because right now I'm called to take care of my family, and I figure that if Jesus wants me for a sunbeam later, he knows where to find me. And, honestly, I'm kind of fried on church. Dennis and I both feel that working for the church did a number on our faith. We're leaving our jobs there with a much less solid spiritual life than we had when we went in. Sucks, but that's how it is. It's all just undulation, though, and I'm sure this is just a low spot.
I love being Isaac's mom, and I love being Dennis' wife, and I love my friends and the really good life I've assembled. I see God's hand in all of it.
